Underwriters at Smart Step Funding are responsible for applying our proprietary scoring tools and gathering a range of public and private data to evaluate the risk of small business financing deals. Deals range in size from $10,000 to $300,000 and span the entire U.S. Our internal training program provides in-depth knowledge to quickly translate your past experience into our sector.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Familiarity with reading personal and commercial credit reports.
- Detail oriented and willing to take responsibility for completing critical tasks
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently under time pressure
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 1 year prior work experience underwriting financial products/services.
- Multi-lingual candidates are a plus.
